Jazz, Lyrical, Childrens'
Programs: Ms. Tyson began
dancing at the age of 4 and has extensive training in Ballet,
Jazz, Tap and Lyrical. She received her training from Dance
Arts Centre, Rhythm Dance Center and Rotaru School of Ballet
in Atlanta. At the age of 7 Ms. Tyson began competing and
was part of numerous award-winning groups on the regional
and national level. She has performed in “The Nutcracker” with
Rotaru School of Ballet and in the 1996 Opening Ceremonies
of the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta. She was also
a member of “The All American Variety Show” China
Tour in 2002. Ms. Tyson continues to further her dance education
by attending conventions and seminars taught by the nation’s
top teachers and choreographers.
Ms. Tyson has been teaching in the Atlanta area since 1996. In that time she has taught Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Acrobatics and Hip Hop to ages 3 to adult. She also taught at Gym Elite Gymnastics for 5 years. In 1998 she began choreographing numbers for competitions. Many of her students are title award winners and her groups have won many high score awards as well as choreography awards both regionally and nationally. At Star Systems Talent in 2004 she was awarded “Top Teacher.” Some of Ms. Tyson's students have gone on to professional jobs such as cruise ships, ballet companies and amusement parks. Jennifer is also a judge for Showbiz and Rising Star dance competitions. In 2003 she traveled to Omaha, Kansas City, Columbus and Charlotte just to name a few.
