COME SEE SCDC in CONCERT:DANCIN' and SINGIN' the NIGHT AWAY

It's our 24th Concert and it will take place at the Gwinnett Civic Center on February 17 and February 18, 2012. New this year: All Concert pieces are on Friday, February 17, including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre pieces from all levels of company. The four musical theatre vignettes are being performed on Saturday, February 18 (matinee) and Saturday, February 18 (evening), and include adaptations of "Anything Goes," "Grease," "Peter Pan," and "Thoroughly Modern Millie." SC STUDENT IN THREE STOOGES MOVIE

Joey Anzilotti, 12, current SC student, booked a role in the 20th Century Fox re-make of the "Three Stooges." This was his very first professional audition! The choreographer flew in from LA yesterday to work with Joey, and we are excited to see him on the big screen! |
OUR THIRD RADIO CITY ROCKETTE

Current SC Student Kelsey Wildman, auditioned for the Radio City Rockettes in her last two weeks of high school at the end of May, 2011. She flew up to NYC and auditioned against 642 hopefuls during two days of grueling auditions. Last Monday, Kelsey graduated from high school, and on Thursday got the call from Radio City Music Hall with an offer to become a Radio City Rockette! We are so proud of Kelsey and cannot wait to see her on that great stage! This is our third Radio City Rockette trained at SC and we are proud that the tradition continues! Hats off to Kelsey Wildman! |
TAKING ORDERS FOR RECITAL T-SHIRTS

Our recital t-shirt this year is designed by Designables, Inc., and is a fabulous way to remember your part in the performance! The design on the front is a custom design, with fun colors that everyone will love! Every student's name will be placed on the back of the t-shirt. There have been spreadsheets at each studio since April 16, allowing you to personally check the spelling of your (or your performer's) name. Each shirt will be $20 and there are a variety of sizes available from Child-Adult. If you would like to purchase this year's recital t-shirt, please pre-order by paying and signing up at the front desk. A very limited amount of shirts will be available for purchase at the theatre, so the only guarantee that you get a shirt is if you pre-order at the studio. |

Auditions for the Susan Chambers Dance Company will take place at the Suwanee studio on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 10:00 am for the following companies:Junior, Intermediate, Apprentice, Teen, Senior, and Pre-Professional Companies. Information packets are available at the front desk for all interested students, and feel free to speak with Paige or Susan Chambers about your student's interest in SCDC. TICKETS NOW ON SALE

Tickets for our 2011 Concert, "The Gift", are now onsale at the front desk of each studio location. You are allotted two free tickets per family, and remember that all accounts must be current before tickets can be purchased or picked up. All tickets are $10, and due to Fire Codes, every human being needs a ticket (including infants). Remember that shows sell out, so purchasing early is best! We look forward to seeing you in the theatre very soon to celebrate our 32nd Year of performances! |

STUDIO-WIDE LOCK-IN

On Friday, May 22, 2011, 63 students from both the Alpharetta and Suwanee location enjoyed a night of fun, dancing, pizza, and movies, and we almost stayed up all night long. Breakfast came early, but the memories will last a long time! The group picture will be available from the Lock-In at the front desk of each location after June 1. Susan Chambers Dance Company was invited to perform on Royal Caribbean's ship, Radiance of the Seas. As a guest performer, they will enjoy the opportunity to perform on the stage of the Radiance and also tour Cozumel. This exciting adventure for SCDC is a first for the non-for-profit Company! |
